With summer right around the corner, I also wanted to share some more links to programs we use here at school. The students log in to Study Island and Study Ladder once a week and these are great website for reading a math practice. Both of these websites are perfect for on the go practice because you can do one module at a time.
Try to set aside about 10 minutes a day for one of these websites. Your child can log in anytime during the day on any mobile device or computer. These programs are both rewarding too as they can play games or earn tokens for their virtual world.
Below are the links and their log in information is on the back of their binder.

Xtramath
After having the students participate in XtraMath for almost 5 months, I can see the benefits of this program tremendously. The students also love it! Please continue having your child log in to Xtramath.org at least 3 times a week during the summer. I will be sending home a sign off sheet that the students can keep track of their log ins this summer. A reward will be given to students who complete their sheet and give it to me when they get back from summer break.
The login information for your child is taped in the back of their binder so this program has easy access. You can also log in through any mobile device or computer. This would be a great car ride activity on the way to summer programs and activities.

Communication is KEY!
Good evening parents,
The intention of this blog is to keep communication lines open between home and school. If you have any questions relating to anything, please post it here. As the school year continues, I will post activities and pictures that we are completing so you can get a glimpse of the 2nd grade classroom. I'm excited about starting this blog with all of you!
